The OxMan

The OxMan is a long course triathlon, duathlon or aquabike (swim/bike). The triathlon & duathlon can be done as a team or individually.

Distances

  • Swim 1.9km (or Run 7km)

    • The swim is held in a clean and clear irrigation lake. The course will be made up of two laps.

    • The duathlon option will be 1 lap of the run course.

    • The cut off for the swim is 1hr after the start of the race.

  • Bike 89.3km

    • The bike course is a gentle grind up to the town of Oxford where 3 laps of a loop on country roads with some small undulations are completed. To finish the ride athletes return back downhill from Oxford to the race site.

    • There will be an aid station positioned within the 3 loop section of the course (so you pass it 3 times). This aid station will only supply water and sports drink (brand TBC). You will be responsible for carrying your own food.

    • The cut off for the bike is 4.5hrs after the start of the race.

  • Run 21km

    • The run course is 3 laps of an out and back course. The first and last 1.5km of each lap is on a gravel road with the remainder on a sealed road.

    • There will be an aid station in the middle of the run lap so you pass it twice each lap.

  • Aquabike athletes - after the bike leg you simply run to the finish line

Mini OxMan

The Mini OxMan is a short course triathlon or duathlon. It can be done as a team or individually.

Distances

  • Swim 750m (or run 3km)

    • The swim is held in a clean and clear irrigation lake. The course will be made up of one lap.

    • The duathlon option will be 3km opening run to the end of the gravel road and back to transition.

  • Bike 21km

  • Run 7km

    • The run course is 1 lap on out and back course. The first and last 1.5km of the lap is on an gravel road with the remainder on a country roads.

Junior OxMan

The Junior OxMan is a short course triathlon or duathlon for athletes aged 10-16 years. It can be done as a team or individually.

Distances

  • Swim 300m or Run 1.5km

    • The swim is held in a clean and clear irrigation lake. The course will be made up of one lap (swimmers will be out of their depth).

    • The duathlon option will be 3km opening run to the end of the gravel road and back to transition.

  • Bike 12km

  • Run 3km

    • The run course is 1 lap on out and back course. The course follows the same route as the other Oxman events but turns at the end of the gravel road.

The run only events will follow the same run course as all the other events. The start will be at the same time as the Mini OxMan
